DeGenerate is a virtual reality concept musical written and performed by Brendan Andolsek Bradley and Maurice Soque Jr. reflecting on the identity of an artist using artificial intelligence. Clemence Debaig and Michael Morran developed features for the live audience to input text prompts to generate A.I. images/objects around the live performer, co-creating the environment and artwork from their web-connected devices.

DeGenerate presented its first prototype and opening number at OnBoardXR’s sixth seasonal showcase in May 2023 in Mozilla Hubs. The team was invited to perform on-stage as the opening entertainment for The VR Awards in December 2023 at de Deolen Concert Hall in Rotterdam.
