Scrappy Storyteller

Brendan creates with a bias toward action under the motto “Do The Thing, Make The Thing.” He affectionally calls his creative work “fiascos,” a term from Italian glass-blowing which finds beauty and utility within imperfection.

Brendan produced his first play when his high school didn’t have an auditorium. His playwriting debut was in a rooftop swimming pool. His first original webseries, Squatters was named "the best indie comedy on the internet" by Tubefilter News. He cold-called tourism boards to sponsor his first feature film. He built a spaceship in his one bedroom apartment and in virtual reality for an original sci-fi series, and taught himself 3D animation and DIY motion capture to modernize Shakespeare’s Macbeth. During the pandemic, Brendan helped hundreds artists make and monetize their remote storytelling projects using virtual filmmaking and interactive techniques.

In 2017, he established The Innovation Lab at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
